After a much needed rest over Christmas myself and the web design hound are back to work, building websites for the good people of Stockport, Manchester and beyond.

In 2017, I was lucky to work on interesting projects around the UK as well as locally, including a new website promoting the independent businesses of Stockport Old Town.

I have also enjoyed collaborating with some fantastic graphic designers and working in-house at some great Manchester digital agencies.

I’d love to do the same this year so if you are a design agency looking for a front-end developer with a background in design please do get in touch and say hello.

Tutoring at Salford University

Media City BBC Studios

Media City, Salford. home of the BBC!

In February I’ll be returning to Salford University’s Media City campus to teach a second semester of a web design and development module.

I had a lot of fun teaching there last year, introducing the students to the basics of writing HTML and CSS as well as responsive web design concepts and jQuery.

I was very proud of the work my students produced at the end of the course, so I’m looking forward to meeting the new group next month.

Over the past few months I’ve also been developing my own website skeleton framework which I’ve titled the Bo Framework (named after my aforementioned work pooch).

It will help me build websites faster whilst keeping the quality high and keeping costs affordable for my clients. With a focus on simplicity and performance, it is an uncomplicated yet powerful system and will be a great addition to my web development toolkit.

I’m pleased with the progress so far and I’m looking forward to bringing it into action in the next few months.

Let’s Work Together

If you are looking to improve your business with a new professionally designed website this year (or you’d like your current website optimising to perform faster) I can help you out. I now also offer WordPress website maintenance plans and monthly Google Analytics analysis services to get the best out of your website.

I am currently available for projects starting in April so please do get in touch today if you would like to work together on your website in 2018!
